Updating an access database

I have it set up to edit, everything seems to be working, except the update doesn't work. If this is a network share issue, I cannot comment on it, having not worked over a network with Expression.I click the edit link that it generates, I change the field value and hit update and the value stays the same. Where do I look to troubleshoot something like this? Is this a single or multiple table Access database?Because a majority of Web applications involve reading data and not updating it, one-way data binding keeps the size and complexity of the page architecture to a minimum for the most common scenarios. However, there are times when you do want to update data. If you are using a dataset, you can write changes to the dataset and then call the data adapter to send changes from the dataset to the database. This page has been translated for your convenience with an automatic translation service. This is not an official translation and may contain errors and inaccurate translations.(For an example of this scenario, see Walkthrough: Using a Data Grid Web Control to Read and Write Data.) Alternatively, you can update the database directly, using SQL statements or stored procedures, which is what this walkthrough illustrates.

Mohamed hi I need some help, believe I am quite desperate, I am trying to connect to a sql 2005 express with asp 3.0, Ive tried like 100 different connection strings and got nowhere, if anyone can help me i would be most gratefull.

Is the primary key properly represented in the update query?

hmm, well I'm not sure about this because I dont set things up quite the way you do.

Autodesk does not warrant, either expressly or implied, the accuracy, reliability or completeness of the information translated by the machine translation service and will not be liable for damages or losses caused by the trust placed in the translation service.

I worked out an example in the attached Excel and Access files, but you'll need to figure out the steps to be done for your specific application. My example database has a link to the Excel worksheet.
